We stopped by for lunch the week before Thanksgiving. It’s a beautiful winery and restaurant and the grounds are well taken care of. It’s also packed. On a Saturday afternoon there were plenty of people there for wine tasting, lots of people waiting to eat lunch, and the staff was setting up for a wedding. After putting our name on the waiting list (we didn’t have reservations) we only had to wait maybe 10 minutes before being seated. We had a salad (can’t remember which one, but it was pretty good), a kid’s cheese pizza (I was surprised that they actually had a kid’s menu. The pizza was really delicious, the thick doughy crust was great), and the hanger steak w/ red onion compote (not the most tender steak, but still good. Great flavor overall w/ the red onion compote and a touch of balsamic vinegar). The food was pricier than what I was expecting. The three dishes and a couple glasses of wine came out to about $80. It was nice to see that the restaurant is kid-friendly… there were a few other families there… so they get points for not being a snooty winery/restaurant. This place is definitely worth the visit if you’re in the area, but I would recommend stopping by during the week when it might be less busy.
