This local spot in Encino was crazy busy on the weekend with a wait time of over an hour on a Sunday. The massive menu is full of waffles, French toasts, pancakes, crepes, omelettes, Benedicts, lunch items, and more. With “waffles” in their name, that’s what we had to try. The hot apple waffle ($10.25) was light and airy, but the bland apples that tasted as if they’re straight from a can were a huge disappointment. Pumpkin pecan waffles ($10.75) were an improvement with their pronounced pumpkin flavor, thin, crispy exterior and chewy interior, but it still left me underwhelmed and hungry. I’d consider returning to try other items, just not during peak dining hours.
