The interior of Sparrow + Wolf is an absolutely beautiful space — romantic, elegant, hip, cool — with equally amazing food. We tried a good number of the dishes and every one of them was good. The duck, pork shoulder and wings stood out as the beset of the group, but none disappointed. Drinks were fun and creative — from the shark drink ware to the smoked and prepared table side “Get off my lawn.” Dishes are unique in concept and preparation. While there’s plenty of familiarity on the menu, Chef Howard puts a spin on most to create something unique. His kept a relatively low profile post his Comme Ca gig, but now he’s back with a vengeance, quickly creating a destination dining spot in Chinatown where concept, execution, and creativity are front and center. Our party of 7 dined in a somewhat private table at the front of the restaurant and had a phenomenal meal from start to finish that included excellent service, a couple appearances by the general manager, and a brief pic and look into the kitchen with Chef Howard. Vegas is full of exceptional restaurants, but this dinner may have been one of my favorites.
