I’m no sushi expert, but it seems like this is more of a traditional Japanese place. No crazy specialty rolls, just traditional Japanese fare. It’s a really small restaurant, maybe twelve tables… the lone waitress was nice… sushi chefs were very friendly. We tried the yellowtail w/ avocado carpaccio… had a slightly fishy smell, that’s never a good sign for freshness… but it tasted ok. Also tried a nigiri platter w/ tuna, albacore, and other various types of fish. It was pretty good overall. Their miso soup was excellent. Vegetable tempura was good. Beef sukiyaki was good. I wasn’t blown away by any of the dishes, but thought that everything was solid. Prices were very reasonable… our dinner for two was slightly more than $100.
