After eating lunch, we were walking down Beverly and spotted this place. What better way to top off lunch than to have a cupcake, right? I didn’t check the reviews of this place before entering and didn’t know about their celebrity endorsements or any of that. I just thought it looked trendy, modern, and inviting. Their display of cuppies wasn’t all that impressive. There was nothing that stood out, no flavors that were unique enough to grab my attention.

So, I went with the always reliable carrot cake cupcake. They call it the 24-Karat and it’s got the usual carrot cake makeup of spice cake, carrots, and walnuts and was topped with a cream cheese frosting and sprinkled with cinnamon. For $3.25 per cupcake it’s expensive. I don’t care that we were in Beverly Hills, that price is ridiculous. Although, I do have to say that it’s larger than most cupcakes out there.

It wasn’t bad, but it could have been more moist. I loved the big chunks of walnuts and the icing, while very rich, wasn’t overly sweet and didn’t leave that nasty sugary, grainy aftertaste that many cupcakes do.
