The Cosmopolitan is known for it’s amazing array of restaurants. If you’re willing to drop a pretty penny they have something for everyone. However, if you’re looking for some inexpensive fare you have few options, with the exception of Va Bene Caffé.

Located on the second floor, close to Holstein, you’ll find a small shop serving up coffee, paninis, salads, baked goods, and gelato. If you plan on “dining in” the only option is a counter with several stools. I’m not much of a coffee drinker, so I didn’t give that a try and, while the sammies looked good, I didn’t try anything savory since i just downed some pizza at the Cosmo’s “secret” pizza joint.

All I wanted was something to satisfy my sweet tooth. The gelato looked good, although they only had about 8 flavors on display. I went with some mint chocolate chip. They only have one size — 2 scoops for $4.50. It wasn’t bad, but it lacked the minty goodness I was hoping for and was surprisingly bland. Definitely not worth the calories.

This place is  worth a stop if you’re looking for an inexpensive dining option at the Cosmo. But, if you have money to spare you’re much better off stuffing your face at the Wicked Spoon buffet, grabbing a burger at Holstein, or trying any number of other establishments in the building.
