I’m no gelato expert. I’ve never been to Italy. But, I do know that what  tasted at Vivido Gelato was damn good. It’s a small shop in the Boca Park area with close to fifty flavors of gelato and sorbet, all of which are locally made, according to the staff.

It’s a little pricey at $2.95 for a baby size (1 scoop/flavor) and $4.75 for a medium (two flavors), but it’s worth it for an occasional sweet treat. The molten chocolate cake (with chunks of chocolate cake) and German chocolate cake (filled with pecans and caramel) were rich, creamy, smooth and dense. It does melt fast, so grab plenty of napkins.
