This is one winery I’d gladly come back to again and again. And, with all the wineries in Napa, I think that says something. The main building is a beautiful Mission-style (or was it Dutch? Not sure, never made it through architecture school) building that’s refreshing and unique for the area. There’s a long, U-shaped bar as you walk in and beyond that is a small patio with a few tables and a small grassy area with a water fountain.
We did the $25 vertical tasting, which was a glass of the 2005, 2006, and 2007 cab and 2007 elevage. All were amazing and worth buying. We opted for a bottle of the 2007 cab ($62/bottle). The staff was great, especially Kay (sp?) who was on her way to an appointment but still chatted with us for a while as we were walking out — she was so friendly and informative, even letting us try some of the grapes right off the vine.
