It’s a chain and I’m a fan. If you like other Grimaldi’s (and I do) then you’ll like this one. I love their thin crust with it’s blistered and charred texture. I’m still not a fan of their pricing — toppings are the same price no matter if you get a small or large pizza — but I can overlook that when eating some good pie. We got a white pizza with onions, mushrooms, and pepperoni. Delicious! They skimped on the pepperoni, though.

The place is kid-friendly, of course, and I like how they give kids some pizza dough to play with. It not only kept my little guy busy but educated him about the food he was eating. Telling him where his food comes from was kind of like a “birds and bees” conversation, but less awkward.

The relatively high pricing prohibits this place from being in our regular rotation, but it’s great to have occasionally.

Grimaldi’s now has five locations in Las Vegas, including two on the Strip. Each has their signature coal brick oven and water filtration system that supposedly mimics the New York water from its original location.
