Looking for a place to eat lunch before heading to Roos-N-More (a great, tiny, non-profit zoo an hour north of Las Vegas) we came across one of the only restaurants in the Moapa area. The place was nice and clean inside and wasn’t busy early afternoon on a Saturday.
The shredded beef tacos ($6.99) were pretty good. The order came with three tacos filled with beef, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. I would have preferred cotija cheese instead of cheddar, but that’s being picky. They doubled up on the tortillas for each taco, so it was almost like eating six tacos with the amount of meat and other stuff that was on the plate.
The sliders were ok. Kinda boring. The kid’s chicken fingers were your typical frozen variety and came with fries that were limp.
There was only one waitress, but she did a great job serving us and several other parties that came in after we arrived. Not a bad place to grab a bite. I’d gladly come back the next time I’m in the area.
