One visit to a restaurant may not be enough to form a comprehensive and complete opinion about a place, but it is enough to determine if I want to go back. And, my single lunch at this hole-in-the-wall Thai place on Sahara, steps away from Herbs & Rye, left me wanting more.

One of their big draws is that they have lunch specials every day — including weekends — from 11am – 3pm. Each item includes soup, egg roll, salad, and rice. They don’t skimp on the portions either. I left more than satisfied and chances are you will too. The depth of flavor in the yellow curry ($7.99) was wonderful, although the dish could have used more chicken. My wife and friend loved their pad Thai ($6.99) and cashew nut chicken ($6.99), respectively. I was too busy stuffing my face with curry to sample either of their dishes.

My kid enjoyed the chicken satay ($7.95) and so did I — I managed to snag a few bites before my meal arrived. Portions were plentiful and even though the satay wasn’t a lunch special, it was probably enough for many to call a full meal.

With so many good restaurants in Las Vegas, it’s rare for me to eat at the same place more than once. But the delicious and affordable lunch at Weera has me thinking I’ll return soon for dinner.
