Located in the Pacific Wharf neighborhood of Disney’s California Adventure park, the Pacific Wharf Café is a quick serve eatery — get in line, order at the register, and wait for your food. Just about everything comes in a bread bowl whether you like it or not. I requested a Chinese chicken salad without it, hoping to avoid the unnecessary carbs, but they put the salad in one anyway. The sourdough bread was great, but the majority of it ended up in the trash after the meal. The dressing was too sugary sweet and covered the ample amount of chicken and lettuce.
We also got the cheddar broccoli soup, which wasn’t bad but there wasn’t enough of it, as they didn’t hollow out the bread bowl enough. My kid opted for the turkey sandwich with oddly shaped bread. I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be shaped like Mickey’s head or not, but it was more like a random amorphous shape.
There’s plenty of outdoor seating that is central to this cafe and the other adjacent restaurants, making it one big food court.
