Walk in to Bagel Cafe on a weekend and it’s a madhouse. There are long lines to order from their deli and bakery, long lines to be seated, and a dining room packed to the gills. When you do finally get seated you’ll find a large menu full of fairly inexpensive items and portion sizes that beg to be shared. Challah French toast consisted of about four thick, egg-drenched slices. A pretty good version, for sure, but one that was too hefty for one person to finish. On my way out I grabbed a chocolate fudge cake that was too sugary sweet, a creamy plain cheesecake that was light and airy, and a huge M&M cookie for my kid which he quickly devoured.
