A popular spot with an ever-growing fan base, Shang Artisan Noodle’s open kitchen provides a meal and a show. The best spot to take in the action is at the counter where you can watch their skilled chefs create hand-pulled noodles and effortlessly slice dough to create their knife-shaved noodles.
The pork and cabbage potstickers are Instagram worthy with its flour based dome covering the order of 6 dumplings. I’m a fan of the hockey puck-shaped beef pancakes too, but damn they’re hard to cut. I was making a mess trying to slice them open. And, you definitely want to cut them open. Biting into them you’ll be sprayed with steaming hot beef juice. Their noodle soup is what they’re known for and with good reason. Large, meaty chunks of braised beef brisket filled the bowl, along with knife-shaved noodles, green onions, cabbage, and a complex, savory broth that brought all the flavors together. It was a great meal all around, and showed why so many love this noodle shop.
