Located on the 7th deck in the center of the Norwegian Jade, Teppanyaki shares a host stand with both Jasmin and the sushi bar. The totally enclosed room has 4 hibachi tables and throughout our cruise was always one of the most popular/busy restaurants with little availability.

The chef had plenty of energy and lots of tricks, many that you’d see at similar spots stateside.

Their Shaku-Shaku cocktail, consisting of sake, chartreuse, cucumber and lemon juice, was excellent. Edemame, miso soup, and seaweed salad followed. All were fairly standard fare. Under seasoning seemed to be a theme among many meal as on the ship, and the garlic fried rice followed suit. The chef did, however, do a good job with the jumbo shrimp and filet, which was so tender you could cut with a fork.

This specialty dining restaurant was a fun family experience and a nice change of pace from the previous places we dined on the ship.
