As part of the Orleans updated dining options, Bailiwick brings live entertainment, good drinks, and plenty of comfort food to a spacious gastropub setting.

There’s plenty to like from their oversized menu starting with appetizers. You’ll find a massive pretzel with an ale house cheese fondue, deviled eggs topped with candied bacon, delicious wrapped dates with smoked almonds and maple butter, and the unique Reuben egg rolls — corned beef, sauerkraut, and swiss cheese in egg roll wrappers.

They have a section just for chips and fries. I wasn’t crazy about the minuscule portion of BBQ beef brisket that was with sweet potato chips, but the Moody bleu fries made up for it.

From there, our group tried several other dishes. The chicken and French toast sliders were a hit, as was the Big Mo burger and meatloaf ciabatta. The grilled cheese sliders were decent. Less successful was the Peking flatbread because of a hoisin sauce that skewed too sweet.

All three desserts we tried were quite good. The skillet s’mores was plenty large enough to share. The warm butter toffee cake was rich and gooey. And, the warm cinnamon donuts were pure bites of heaven.
